I’m Miles Ma – a camera-minded editor and visual storyteller.

I started my career in architecture, working on projects for both developers and the public sector. Years of visual planning, detail compliance, and spatial design gave me a way of seeing: to balance structure with atmosphere.

That same instinct now shapes my work in video production. Whether behind the lens or in the edit, I cut with pacing in mind, and I shoot with the edit already in my head. My approach leans on rhythm, composition, and a sensitivity to mood – sometimes salvaging footage that others might give up on.

I’ve contributed to news features, event coverage, and creative projects in Japan, often bridging cultures and workflows. What I value most is clarity: knowing what the story needs, and delivering it without excess.

Currently based in Japan, I’m exploring opportunities in video editing and production – especially where cultural context and visual sensibility meet.​
